Set among ancient quarry work, the area is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and while you’ll feel as though you’re in the midst of the countryside, you’ll only be a 40-minute bus journey from the city centre. Cambridge is indeed a must-visit location during your stay with plenty of historic attractions to keep you occupied, although the site itself offers good cycling paths and walking routes for those who want to explore a little closer to base.
